Kawasaki KX / KDX 225 "hybrid" dirt bike for sale. This is a great bike that is fast, dependable and ready to ride now. This is a well known custom bike setup that puts a powerful and dependable Kawasaki KDX trail bike engine into a lighter and better KX 125 mx chassis. It's basically an early custom version of all the KTM and similar trail bikes everyone rides now. - 2000 KX 125 mx chassis - KDX 200 2-stroke engine with 225 big bore kit. Boyesen Pro Series reeds installed a few rides ago. Similar power to a typical 250 2-stroke. - Engine has 6-speed transmission and lugs great down low for technical trail riding - Has hi/lo headlight and tail/brake lights that run off engine. No battery or starter - kick start only. - Excel rims (Signature front and premium A60 18" rear) - Tubeless setup on rear for no flats and extra traction. Shinko 505 cheater rear tire with a lot of tread left. - Heavy duty radiators with aluminum guards - Oversized fuel tank - Includes aluminum skid plate but it's not currently installed - Comes with a JD Jetting kit and various other jets for riding in different weather/altitude - All basic maintenance was just done (carb disassembled and cleaned, new air filter, new spark plug, gear oil changed). I have owned this bike for 10 years and have ridden it very lightly due to work/kids/other hobbies and I have taken very good care of it. There have been entire years when it didn't leave the garage. I'm selling because I got a new bike.
