Accellacare is looking for people who are in good health and could be eligible for cancer screening. The aim of this research study is to see if it is possible to develop a cancer screening test based on blood samples. All patients interested in participating must be willing and able to provide blood samples and not have a history of lung or colorectal cancer. The study is divided into a Lung and Colorectal cancer (CRC) cohort and may be an option if you fit into one of the following groups: You may be eligible for the Lung Cancer cohort if you: • Are aged 50–80 years of age. • Are at high-risk of developing lung cancer. • Are scheduled for or willing to schedule a Low-Dose CT scan (LDCT) for lung cancer screening. • Are a current or previous cigarette smoker (with >20 pack years) OR You may be eligible for the Colorectal Cancer (CRC) cohort if you: • Are aged 45–85 years of age. • Are scheduled for or willing to schedule a colonoscopy • Have not had a colonoscopy in the last 5 years Other criteria apply. Qualified participants will receive most study-related evaluations and care at no cost. Volunteers will have to use their health insurance to cover the cost of their colonoscopy or LDCT scan to participate in this study. Financial compensation may also be provided for time and travel expenses. You will receive $200 for each completed study visit including yearly follow-up visits that may occur.
