Assistant Teacher $25/hr- After School Fitness/Mindfulness Program

We're looking for an energetic, responsible, kind, fun loving assistant teacher to help us with our Yous Fitfulness (fitness+mindfulness) after school program starting in the new year! About Role: As a assistant teacher you will help with the flow of the Fitfulness after school program which will primarily be led by the lead teacher. The fitfulness class itself is a combination of cross training, yoga, and meditation in that respective order with a heavy emphasis on socioemotional story telling and gamified-play based class structure. The program will be for children ages 5-8 years old and teach them the fundamentals of movement, yoga, mindfulness, teamwork, self/coregulation and socioemotional learning. Link for more Yous After School Program Info: https://www.kids.yous.life/afterschool Responsibilities: -Pick-up of children from designated schools (Marian Anderson & Greenfield) -Fitfulness class support (laying out/packing up equipment, encouraging child participation, supporting children's situational needs, giving child feedback, assisting lead teacher, ideas on how to improve fitfulness class experience ) -Parent Interaction Contract/Compensation: Thurs Jan 4th 2024 - Thurs June 13th 2024 Tuesdays & Thursdays 2:30pm - 6pm $25/hr, 3.5 hrs/day, $175/full week, $700/full month *Increased payment if you can bring in customers to the after school program **Huge growth opportunities to lead classes, develop new programs and/or sales & marketing roles if you perform the job well Location - 2212 Spruce St, Philadelphia PA 19103 Eligibility Requirements: -1+ year working with children -Fully available for length of contract -Clearances: FBI Background Check, NSOR, PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal History -2 References with Contact Info -A background/interest in fitness and/or mindfulness is very valuable but not required
